Re: Cleaning Multispoke Wheels

Sonax Wheel Cleaner - this thing will melt the brake dust in no time.
www.autogeek.net/sonax-wheel-cleaner.html

you don't have to use it every wash but once in a while, just keep on maintaining by cleaning them with every wash (i clean the car every week - the wheels get dirty faster specially the front ones + i have plastidip its even harder).

BTW - you can use the EZ wheel brush - mini version.

Thanks!
Just ordered some via Amazon.

12.44 with free delivery.
Not exactly cheap, but I'll give it a go and report back to this with photographs of before, during and after.

Thanks again,
Mick.

Re: Cleaning Multispoke Wheels

These are the wheels I have on my Grande Punto Eleganza, and I absolutely love the design of them, but like the wheels on your 500 TA, they are an absolute git to clean, lol!

Re: Cleaning Multispoke Wheels

I'm the OP ............ the Original Poster.

Although the photo isn't of MY wheels, they are the same design and I found the shot on Google Images.

I could take a photo of my wheels, but it's pointless because my question was regarding the principle of cleaning multispokes easily, rather than getting down on hands and knees and scrubbing.

To be honest, ours are actually reasonably ok, but it would be easier if I could apply something to the wheels, then wash the car, and just hose them afterwards.

Regards to all,
Mick.

I see! That solves my confusion, lol! I thought the comment about being US spec was referring to my Grande Punto alloys, lol!

Re: Cleaning Multispoke Wheels

Sorry for the confusion, but I (and maybe other folk) have learned something here.
Hopefully my test of the Sonix stuff will show results.

I don't want to scrub with a brush whilst kneeling down on the drive or sitting on a milk crate.
Simple and easy wins the race IMHO.

Thanks all,
Mick.

Re: Cleaning Multispoke Wheels

I must admit, I really like those wheels. Defo the best alloys they put on the 500.

Beg to differ, these are the ones they used in a lot of the advertising for the 500 early on. Look so much better, plus they're not that horrid to clean.

I'm really soz, but I'm afraid I prefer @Mick F's wheels. I guess I'm a bit funny when it comes to alloys, lol!
