I have a wifi obdII connector, which works fine with my Corsa D but when I try to connect to my girl friends 500 pop, i keep receiving error messages regardless of the software i use, it asks if i have the ignition key in, and whether my car is obd compatible anyone else have this issue?

From my expirience - you need ELM327 with 1.5 version and not the 2.1 - i bought both and the 2.1 didn't worked for me - always popped out connection and sync error, the 1.5 works perfect, cost me about 6$ from Ebay
I bought the little Bluetooth one, no cables only wireless

Where is the ODB port on the 500 anyway?

As you sit at the wheel, look down to your right. There is a fuse panel which pulls out. The OBD port is behind that.
