Smile 500 rear brake linings.

Have completed 45,500 miles on my 1.2 F500 and checking the rear brake linings shows 4mm remaining, with the Haynes manual stating that 2mm is the minimum before changing.
Can anybody tell me what the lining thickness is when new, so I can calculate the rate of wear of the remaining 2mm please?

Re: 500 rear brake linings.

i've finally change the (from new) rear shoes on my heavier punto and the car is now on 115k miles they are used so little you don't really need to worry about them very much

i've owned the car from 43,000 miles so even if they were changed for original items, its still done at least 70,000 miles on the shoes that were in there
