A 4-cylinder engine fires twice per rev. This caught me out a few times when I first got mine, and brushed the rev limiter a couple of times in second and third gear. I certainly wouldn't agree that it"s "pure misery" above 50mph. Sure, it's not as refined as a bigger car, but no worse than (usually larger) superminis I've driven. and i must say, new cars seem more refined than old cars, and the fiat 500 2007 is just getting really out of date.

That explains what I was trying to say earlier. It is just very different. Without driving a TA I find it hard how anyone can have an opinion. You just have to drive one to "get it". It is quite unexpected which is why people buy them. 500C TA 105

Its a combination of an engine that spins up quickly and the strange engine note. But what a bundle of fun the TA is to drive.

Posts: 271 Thanks: 20 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: TA 105 vs 85 on the autostrada haha yes that rev limiter on the TA is really miserable as well = ) you reach max power at 6,000 then the engine literally dies on you. at least with the 1.4 you reach max power at 6,000 then until 7,000 you feel the power slowly slowly going away then at 7,250 you hit the fuel cutoff! it gives you notice, the TA just kills you straight up haha.
