I changed a bulb today in the heater panel, so I thought I would share with you with pictures on how I did it.

Turn all controls to their far left positions - ut electrical tape across all of the dials so they can't move. No need to remove dials.

Using a large headed screwdriver or two, prise from the top and bottom until the unit pops out enough for you to get your fingers behind. Pull it firmly towards you.

Two bulbs are visible, they just pull out, if you can get hold of them. I put a piece of tape over the bulb and gently squeezed with a pair of pliers to get it out.

Push the new bulb in, and then line up, make sure everythings connected and push back into position. Job done.

haha ive succesfully changed it twice. On the third time i broke the left hand socket housing the bulb. So now no lights there at night.

Yes, that long transparent plastic piece is probably a light pipe for the bulb, which may be in the slot in the beige plastic to the left of the light pipe. Presumably there so the knob can be pushed inwards.
