Technical BCM in the 500 twinair

Technical BCM in the 500 twinair

I would expect it to be in the same place as other 500s or Panda, which I think is next to the steering column, behind the OBD plug. Behind the cover to the right of the column. (Hopefully)

Edit: Just dragged out my eLearn CD for 500. It shows the body computer to be next to the column, on the left hand drive car. Should be transposed to the right for RHD. Item M001 in the pic.

1. Did you find it?
2. Did you sort the problem?
3. Are you trapped under the dash?

If not sorted, let's have some more details about the problem.

1. No
2. Yes - New BCM fitted under warrenty (roof stopped working automatically, needed to hold button for roof to work, boot would not open)
3. Not anymore - just got out hence long time to reply :p

Thanks for your intrest guys, it's nice to know I'm not alone

Sorry to drag up an old thread but does anyone know whether they can be swapped out from one car to another?

The Body Control Module and the Engine Control Module both check the immobiliser chip in the key, and have to agree, before the car will start. In previous threads, people have swapped them both, including key sets, (from scrapped donor vehicles) when they've had trouble on older cars.

When the dealer fits a new module, he has the computer to tell the new and old modules to talk to each other. I don't think we can do this with MES.
