Hi! Is anyone up for a cream tea get-together in East Sussex, if I can arrange it? It would give us a chance to admire each other's cars and hopefully form friendships over a yummy cream tea. Let me know what you think! Hope this isn't a contravention of any Forum rules ?

Well, strictly speaking this should go into the events section but I'll leave it here for now so that it gets as much publicity as possible. If it looks like it's going somewhere, then we'll move it over into events.

I found the right place (so obvious) and my excuse is that it was late when I posted. It will be good to gauge interest HERE and perhaps we can move to the right forum after the weekend?

I'm on the Surrey/Hampshire border - so if more people are up for this, count me in!

I don't know when people were thinking though - I'm not actually back home for four weeks. And by silent Jap motor; do you mean a Prius?

I thought Jap cars were meant to go "brapbrapbrapbrap".

Sorry Noxide, but I have a vision of many 500s parked outside a large country hotel whilst the owners nosh on scrummy cream teas and swap notes on cars, life and other stuff. if you happened to turn up, you'd be welcome but you'd have to park away from the Italian jobs, lol

Great! If I can get enough people together, I was going to ask the nice people at the Ashdown Park hotel (Forest Row, RH19 area) if they could offer a nice group rate. I should really advertise locally but prefer to keep things forum-based, at least for the time being.
