Frupi - its nosey time.

You share your car information with us (Saab etc) in a most entertaining way, and we know that you drive an awful lot of miles per week. But not in any of the vehicles you mention on here.

So could I just ask out of curiosity what vehicle you use to put in all those company miles - and perhaps share some observations on that vehicle?

Absolutely off topic by the way, so I hope JR is looking the other way....

I personally have no issue with anyone hypermiling, just so long as it doesn't put mine or anyone elses safety at risk
Obviously safety is most important, but I don't even want to be annoyed by someone's hypermiling attempts. Unfortunately not all hypermilers care if they bother other people with their hobby.

How about throwing a bit of caution to the wind and try to enjoy actually driving your cars instead of pretending there's only enough petrol in the world to last until next week lol!
Breaking your personal fuel economy record can be very satisfying, but personally I prefer to do that with a normal driving style. Therefore no hypermiling for me.

whilst on the subject of pet hates, what about the tw.. Peaple who get in a car, and the instinctively start the thing immediately, then sit there, put seat belt on, switch on radio, plug in Ipod or whatever those wires coming out of their ears are for, then do their hair and check all their teeth are still there, in the mirror, then take out their phone and text or actually phone someone, then look for a sweet, then try and start the car again, even tho its already been ticking over for 5 mins, then finally move off without looking in the mirror, only to be broadsided by a poor unsuspecting cyclist.

The way this thread is going it won't be long and I'll get you all buying and driving Prii to hyper mile :D

Never going to happen ;)

They're selling 1.2 Panda's here for $13k, I recon 100mpg tanks wouldn't be a stretch for one of those, so tempting, but I already have six cars and I'm trying to cut back

Snes, sorry for the delay in response, been enjoying the weekend :) and :Offtopic:

I do all of my company miles in a 2.0L diesel Peugeot Expert Van, it's only a 10 months old, I've just hit 30k on it from the 16 miles it had on the clock at handover. It's very reliable, though the 20k service intervals in my opinion, are too far apart, especially doing so many miles. I'll cover another 6k in it before the end of July. It's white. It doesn't have aircon unfortunately, but it does have cruise control which is an absolute bonus for sitting on the motorway, especially through all of the roadworks. I have access to another works vehicle, but only put about 2k a year on it when my main van is being serviced. The Expert not too bad on fuel, especially when I'm doing just 60 mph. The Saab, well I do about 8k a year personal mileage in that, the 500, probably no more than 500 miles per annum when the wife lets me drive it.

Very impressive, 75 mpg on my very first drive of my latest 500. Was extremely gentle being brand new, I'm sure I won't be able to keep this up.
1.2 500s
