This is my first post on here so hopefully it will be in the right place !!


My wife`s Fiat 500 has just started having an issue with the remote key. The car is a 2012 car with minimal mileage, it`s worked fine up until last week and now only works if pressed very close to the window.


I have changed the key battery and tried 3 different, brand new, batteries just in case any were faulty and still nothing different.


It works every time very close to the car and inside the car (not much use !)


Anyone had this problem before ?


Any info would be much appreciated.

Place the key fob under the chin, look towards the car and press the fob button. For some reason it amplifies the signal, not sure how or why?

I was wondering if it could have some bearing on the car battery as I`ve noticed it doesn`t Stop Start like it did before and I think someone said that was battery related.
