Hi all,
If you, like me have a new F500S 1.2 with the manual gearbox and have been struggling with the lack of response on throttle and not been able to drive up a mild incline, there is now a software update which will fix it.
I picked my car up at the end of sept last year and now having covered over 3000m thought it was just how the car was. My car was never as bad as that featured on BBC Watchdog but there was a definite problem with the throttle and pickup.
Anyhow on Sunday while I was out and abut a warning light came on the dash for the injectors and the SS stopped working. It kept saying check engine.
A trip to the Fiat dealer on Monday and although the car was running ok apart from said warning lights, when I picked it up I was told there had been a software update and the problem was solved.
But here is the best news, since the update the car when revs actually responds and the car now drives as it should have done from new.
There was an obvious issue here but now the car revs and pulls hard and is actually quite nippy, for a 1.2.
So if you have not had the fault come up yet I would recommend getting down to your nearest dealer for the software update.
Sorry if this has already been posted I did a search but didn't find anything..
