does anyone know what the differences are between a 500 twinair and a twinair plus? I have a 2012 500 twinair plus, 0.9 tubo if that helps, I'm just curious
Trim level. Climate control & steering wheel blue & me / audio controls for example.
so the twinair and twinair plus are both 0.9 turbos?
We have a Twinair Plus
Back to OP's original question
From memory, the "plus" also got 16" alloys and more sportier seats (front)
FWIW the 16's make an enormous difference
better handling at the expense of harder ride

Not sure what you mean by "agile"Not sure I agree with you on the 16" wheels. I've driven both and for me the TA felt more agile on 15's
Seats are same in both.
A lot of folks confuse the Twinair engine option with the actual Twinair model that was actually badged as twinair.
The Twinair model is essentially what the sport became. It was only around for 2011/2012 I think.
So the Twinair badge was actually only applied to a specific trim/equipment combo rather than generally to Twinair-engined cars?Seats are same in both.

Re the 16" yes I can see that outright grip will be better : )

We live on the coast south of Brisbane and we are surrounded by sugar cane
So the roads are basically around the cane fields resulting in 90° corners that have recommended speed signs of 50kph.
We take these at 100kph and the 16" wheels handle the 100kph much better than the son's TA Lounge on the 15" wheels.
But again, these are definitely "provincial" roads and the ride is much better in his car.
In traffic and driving too and from work I think I would prefer 15" wheels as well
Thanks on the seats
Yes, ours has the "TwinAir" badge
The only way to check for the "plus" is to check the aircon - and it is the Climate Control
In fact, when we bought ours there was a model called, of all things the "Rockstar"
It was essentially the same as the TwinAir Plus, climate control, 16" wheels, Blue & Me, and all the other stuff on the plus.
Main difference was that the dash was painted body colour and seats were same shape but had different fabric
Was that model released in the UK/Europe ??

No it's a lounge with a TA engine.Happy Boxing day, guys!
I'm confused.
We have a TA Lounge 85hp first registered in Sept 2011.
It has auto climate control, Blue&Me, red cloth seats, 15" alloys, and fog lights.
It just says "Twinair" on the top of the air filter.
Is it a "plus" or what?
I just thought it was a standard Lounge.
Greetings to all,
Mick.
I just dug the brochure out...Happy Boxing day, guys!
