No it's a lounge with a TA engine.
The Twinair model has a badge on he read hatch that says 'Twinair'
The Twinair was a specific model but you could also spec the TA engine in a lounge.

:yeahthat:

One of Fiat's most confusing trim designations. I remember at the time we had lots of posts about this, and even more baffled people.

And to make it even more baffling, IIRC about halfway through Fiat changed the spec of the Twinair (the model, not the engine).:confused:

Mine's got the Twinair badge, but it's also got a black roof, which apparently UK models didn't get?

Ours has black roof too
I copied the red on the hub caps from the "Rockstar" - they were originally all black

Hi UFI, piano black roof is an option in the 2011 Twinair catalog. I think it looks amazing with black roof. I wish I'd had mine painted black when I had to have new windscreen. I'd have prob gone for the larger Abarth spoiler at the same time too.

I just had a look at the brochure page you uploaded, so the AU spec TA+ didn't get the tinted windows or body coloured mirror caps, but got the black roof instead.

UFI

Has your got the heated mirrors ?
Never had a need to use them here in Qld
How do you tell ??

Pretty sure it does, the cost to add heated mirrors is very low so the Euro brands don't usually bother to delete them for the AU market. My VW and Renault have them.

Not 100% certain on the Fiat, you can turn them on via the same switch as the rear demister. You could also pop the glass off and check for a heating element.

Even our Pop has them so I reckon that's right, UFI.

When I popped the glass off to change the mirror caps on mine I would have dropped the first one but for the wires connected to the back.

If you go out at night with a strong LED torch you can see the heater matrix through the glass when you get the angle right.

mine has a half panoramic roof I think it's called, is this an added extra or do they come as standard with this?

We have a Twinair Plus

Back to OP's original question

From memory, the "plus" also got 16" alloys and more sportier seats (front)
FWIW the 16's make an enormous difference
better handling at the expense of harder ride

Is the Plus pretty much the same as the Lounge then? I know my 16" alloy wheels ride quite firmly. I'd probably prefer 15" wheels if I had to choose again.

This. I first noticed this when I was cleaning my side windows and mirrors after dark...

According to the brochure, panoramic wasn't an option in the 'Twinair or Twinair Plus models. The is a 500c Twinair though. Maybe yours later than the Twinair badged models?

mine is 2012, twinair badge on the boot, twinair plus on the engine over

Lounge has a few additional comfort fitments, like the fixed sun roof
and rear parking sensors (please correct me if I'm wrong)

Having driven both, wheel size pretty well depends on your type of driving ( IMHO )

If the car is a city commute and shopping car then 15's would be the go
For me, the speed limit is 80kph one way and 100kph the other when heading back to "civilisation"- about 15 minutes to the main drag
And as mentioned earlier we have the tight 90° corners, so handling would always be the deciding factor
The harsher ride is a "just a have to put up with" and worth it for the better handling.
Also we have the Dualogic gearbox and paddles so the better handling complements the fun to be had with the TA engine
All grin factor :D:D:D:D:D:D

I want mine dualogic!?

In the UK Parking sensors are only an option, not standard. Not sure about Oz though.

Lounge over Pop gives B&M, Fixed glass roof, AC, Alloys - probably a few other bits also, but they're the main things when we were recently looking to by one for my sister.
