Hi I am new to the site. my Fiat 500 1.4 Dualogic transmission keeps failing and blowing the 30 amp fuse and on replacement the auto works for a bit then blows again! any suggestions as to why this keeps happening and how to cure it please? I have heard it could be the pump or possibly just needs some sort of re aligning the esystem? I have only had it a few months it's a 2008.

Hi, and welcome to FF, :)
it's a bit specialist..,
so don't go to a high street general garage,(n)

does it drive normally..??between blown fuses..,

personally I would use a FIAT/ Alfa specilist Computer fault diagnosing program,
# Multi|ECUScan , or Examiner,
then if no joy, use a good auto electrician to diasgnose what's drawing all the current,
MUCH cheaper than a clueless mechanic changing parts at @£400 a shot, :bang:

Yes it does drive normally when fuse is first changed. so would you only go to authorised dealer as we know a mechanic with a mobile diagnostic machine?

I have a 2010 Bravo Dualogic and it packed up. Was quoted over £2500 to have a new one installed. If you want me advice get rid of it…. it will more likely become a pain in the back side in the long run. Wish I'd never purchased mine, 4 years old and I'm left with a car which is worthless.

go to an indie? or call fiat for help.

I ended up converting the car to a manual with a full engine swap and so on. The onboard computers are not talking to each other so I cannot get the car started.

Does anyone know who can help?

Spoken to Fiat and the are not interested! Great customer support mmmm
