I've owned two 500's now and have had the chrome gear knob fitted in both. It lifts the look of the interior no end, especially in the Lounge version.
The part numbers for my 6-speed TA gear knob were 55344048 (for the chrome bit) and 55344095 for the little black cap with the numbers on. Any dealer or Fiat parts place can get it for you, and to thank you for your business they should be able to fit it for you, as it's only a 10 minute job (or so my dealer told me when they fitted mine at no charge). I had just bought a brand new car from them mind you, so I wouldn't have accepted anything else!
