Technical 500 Twinair Lounge 105 and winter wheels

Brochure states 257mm ventilated discs at front (257 solid on 85), and 240mm discs on rear (180mm drum on 85). Don't see why the 14" wheels would not fir unless the rear calliper is some strange shape.
Will be good if we can get the dimensions from babyferrari, i.e. wheel rim statistics and tyre markings.

So does that confirm that 14" steelies will fit on a 105?

I am just waiting for babyferrari to give details of the steel wheel before I take it as given. Looking good so far.
Sorry babyferrari, no pressure.

Hi had a quick look under the boot carpet again but couldn't see the markings on the rim. Will have to take toolkit out and possibly take the spare wheel out but didn't have time today. Will do so this weekend.

Why not get 15" steel wheels with winter tyres? No worries then if indeed the new car won't take 14's
They are readily available on mytyres. Just select a 1.4 500 as your car

I think you will find that many of us prefer the 14" wheels. Cheaper and possible to get Fiat 14" wheels trims for ten quid each. Just a preference thing. The cost difference does it for me, plus my preferred winter tyre does not come in a suitable 15" size.

If it's of any help, my 500 is a 1.4 with disc brakes front and rear and the 14" wheels fit fine. All the wheel/tyre size options are actually in the back of the handbook with the tyre pressures if I recall correctly.

Ok good advice, I've just gone and RTFM! Interestingly my manual states that 14" rims 5.5Jx14H2-ET35 are compatible with ALL models but funnily it does not quote 14's for the 105! Presumably that's just because the 105 is not available with 14's but all other models inc 1.2, 85TA, MJ 1.3, 1.4 are compatible with above size 14 rim so it looks like all is well.

I've been looking at Eiretyres, the Irish sister of Mytyres and they are quoting a 14" rim spec for a TA500 of 5.5 x 14 with a bolt pattern of 4 x 98 x 58 with an offset of 35. Can anyone confirm this is correct before I order? Cheers.
