Hi there. :)

I've been looking at purchasing a 500 and have come across a 1.2 Pop for £4995.

It's done 73000 miles but has just had a cambelt change. Full service history, serviced by Fiat dealer at 17252, 34548, 49744, 58742 and 69704 miles. All paperwork/evidence of this included.

I know mileage tends to put people off but it seems well looked after and appears to be a good price compared to other 500s in my area of similar mileage/condition.

Opinions appreciated. I'll answer any questions as best as I can, going to view it tonight at 5pm.

First of punch in the registration in Parkers and see what that says, the price you get will give you some power to negotiate.

What year is the pop btw ?

More technical people owning a 1.2 will be able to help you re mileage.

It's a 2008 model.

Parkers says approx. £4880 for an independent dealer based on 60000 miles.

Thanks for the advice guys, it was helpful. Undecided, but looks like I may have to travel further afield to get the best deal.

as maxi said I would not settle for anything less than a lounge. You must also check the suspensions for wear and tear as the stock ones are rubbish. At that mileage, if suspension hasn't been changed until then surely they will need replacing for a good 500 GBP minimum.

So, mileage alone is not a problem, but the car needs to be well maintained to be ok at that mileage, and if it hasn't been, will cost you a lot to put back in ship shape condition.

Thank you! I'll bear that in mind when I view it later.

I always find Parkers to be way too optimistic in terms of pricing. Just had a quick look on a main dealers website , plenty of much lower mileage cars available for a few quid more (before negotiating a discount). Does seem to be way overpriced.

I think I'll look at a few dealers further away. Thanks!
