Hi All,

I have recently purchased a new Fiat 500s. I have had it 2 months allthough, it was registered in September 2013. No problems so far however, I have received a letter from Fiat stating that it has been recalled.

I live in Nice, France (car was bought in France) and of course the letter is in French. A loose translatiom would be that there could be issues with the 'central contol unit' I believe. Is anybody aware of issues with this and how serious they are? Is this a big job?

My wife has a 500s Nov 2013 reg,there is a problem with throttle responce and it is going to the dealer this week.It could be to do with this issue as a few 500 and Panda cars are reported with this problem.

Sound about right. I do notice its a little sluggish pulling off occasionally in 1st.

I have a '63 1.2 Lounge (admittedly not a Sport) that got a recall notice as well. Turned out it was a firmware flash to fix a problem with one of the warning lights on the dash - so it could be that, as I imagine there's no difference between the Sport and Lounge in that regard.

The throttle response sounds like an isolated issue, not a full recall.
