Hi all,

Bought myself an 11 reg lounge, and fancied some new mats cause the ones that were in weren't to my taste, phones fiat and they asked me to check how many mat plugs I had and I have none?

He told me that is weird, it should either have 1 or 2 on later models,

Anyone else have none?

I purchased some new mats off eBay and they came with 1 screw in mat plug, how easy are these to fit and should I try and screw it into my carpet, I expect not because surely it will just stick out higher than carpet.

When I bought our 60 plate POP (now sold on), it had no mats at all and it was only six months old. I immediately bought a genuine set of Fiat mats from a seller on ebay and put them in the car. The mat plug supplied will screw into the floor carpet without too much bother. When I PX'd the POP for our new 13 plate TA, which by the way also came without any mats, I took the mats I'd bought for the POP and fitted them in the TA, but forgot to remove the mat plug. Still, doesn't matter, the drivers mat stays in place because of the velcro on the bottom of the mat.

When you put the plug in your pop did it stick out, because the one the sent me had quite a long plastic screw end and I imagine that to be thicker than the carpet to the floor hence it may stick out,

The plug just screwed down into the carpet leaving enough sticking out to locate the mat on if that helps?

Have you bought genuine Fiat mats?

No I got them off eBay but they are designed for the 500, they have the same plug as the wife's corsa. It looks like a black turny button thing, with about a 1.5cm screw in plastic under it.
