Technical Headlight bulbs, how much?

Evening, I spent £3 on some cheap bulbs (h7s) from eBay and they worked but we're not that bright. In the end I brought some osram night breakers for £14-£16 which are better but are nothing spectacular or go for the Philips vision + range for £15-£30 Mark which perform the same as the osram bulbs but last much longer

If you like replacing expensive bulbs far too often. Imho nightbreakers are a complete waste of money.

I'm still running on the stock OEM bulbs after 4+ yrs. None have failed so far (y).
I drive with my low beams on a lot of the time so I have replaced mine twice in 3.5 years. Brake light once other than that all good! Bosch put their own lights last time I got car serviced, they changed for like 7 pounds each.
Fiat dealer wanted like 40 pounds just to change the lightbulb, no thank you!

The candle that burns twice as bright, burns half as long and all that!! lol
I got some Osram nightbreakers cheap off Ebay cos the standard bulbs in my car where very dim, I'm pretty pleased, esp as I changed both the dipped and main bulbs, can see much further down the single track, unlit lanes around my brothers and my prev car had xenons and our Citroen DS4 has Bi-xenons so I have high standards! :)

All cars should come with xenons in the 21st century. I think all the Japanese cars do so now, but of course in Europe standards are lower.
Imagine, you pay 30k for an Audi, and it doesn't even come with xenons as standard!

Xenons are going out of fad now, it's all about the full LED headlights like in the Audi A8 and you can get in the new Seat Leon, apperently even Vaux\Opel are spending a lot of cash on developing them. :D

And no not all Japanse cars come with Xenon headlights, only higher spec models (you will not find them on a Nissan Micra!), like my old Mazda 3 Sport, though the newer ones of those don't have them, I also think all lights on cars should be LED now, DRL's, indicators, brake\rear, nymber plate, interior etc, they all add up to a decent fuel saving (thus CO2 as well )over filiment bulbs, multiply that by the amount of new cars sold each year...... The candle that doesn't burn at all is the one that causes most problems

99% of cars do. Xenon is only the gas within the bulb, a lot have Xenon filament bulbs. HIDs (which I know is what you're actually on about) are a different thing all together.

You've got to remember it comes down to cost though, HID setups are not cheap with all the extra kit required (although totally worth it) (y)

A fool and their money are soon parted.

I suspect my reply would have been less polite than yours.
oh yeah arguing with idiots doesn't work in my opinion. I just said no thank you and never bought anything from there after that. I went to them and they asked 45 euros for fiat car mats, I went to another fiat dealer and they asked 15!
