The dash in the 500 I am trying to buy is silver, and I want to replace it with the piano black one. Can I just go into a Fiat dealership, order it, and get it fitted? Or can I order it myself and fit it as per the instructions on some of the Youtube sites. If so, where would I go to order the item? Many thanks if anyone can help.

The dash is usually easy to remove respray and the dealer should be able to organise it for you or you can DIY it...

Forgot to mention that my Fiat dealer here in Oz offers a standard dash respray for all 500s owners who want a body colour dash as opposed to the factory silver finish- they charge about £90... So it's a fairly standard thing to customise your dash.

Can't believe in aus that you can only get the black seats/dash etc. I shook hands on a black 500s. It would look awesome with the red/black seats and the red dash.

Regardless of the dash colour you can always change it... So spray away...

Just replace the plastic, I wouldn't waste the time or effort painting it (unless you really want to). Just find someone who wants to trade out their dash plastics for the color you want. The previous owner of mine swapped out the white plastic for red, no repaint was necessary.
