General Official Rear Seat Covers - confused

Hey guys

I've bought some 'official' rear seat covers for our new 500c but can't for the life of me work out how the heck you install them...

Does anyone have these who can help me?

The seat covers in that link are for a 500L .

Yeah the listing I bought from (same item) said fits 500, 500L and Panda....

They do seem huge though now they've arrived.

Will have another crack at it and hopefully the solution will emerge with good old fashioned manly trial and error (or a bodge)

Fiat's official website does indeed say the same thing. It's the same picture as on the ebay link, but with better resolution so it's easier to see how it attaches

Looks to me like it's a big plastic bag with tie straps/loops that you put over one or both seats. It's certainly not what I'd call a seat cover in the generally accepted sense of the word.

It looks like it's supposed to be a seat protector for a dog, is that what you wanted?

Our small border terrier Fagin....

Just be sure that it has a hole for a belt thing to go through so you can clip it to a harness.

In a crash little Fagin will splat against the windscreen or hit an airbag if he's just loose in there if he's not buckled in. If you click a collar to the seatbelt then he'll be strangled instantly in the event of a crash.

Our little one just sleeps happily in the passenger footwell.

It has zips to separate out seats so can create a hole.... for his harness

Are the official seat covers worth the money, or do some after market covers do the same job for less or better?
