On the 500 fitted with S/S where is the button that engages the system located ?? (Assuming that it has a button)

Cheers

Assuming that an Aussie 500's configuration's the same as UK's - Stop/Start is turned on or off in one of the menu options on the main control binnacle. When switched off, an orange symbol should appear on the top right of the display to "warn" you that the system's disengaged. I, personally, would prefer a light warning me the dang thing's turned on, and a little button to turn it off!!

Start/Stop is activated when you stop and come out of gear. There is criteria for it activating though, the engine can't be cold, the battery needs to be substantially charged, you can't have the air con in full. There is is a button in the air con unit that can deactivate start/stop though! (this is UK and I have the 500S TA)

We have an Aussie spec TwinAir Plus
It has the Stop/Start switch as shown in photo below - it is also covered in the manual

BTW This photo is not of our car and it appears not to have Stop/Start - if it did, the button would have a little circle thingo (technical term) depicting the Stop/Start feature - same as OP mentioned in previous post regarding the annoying yellow "idiot" light that is "on" all the time if you chose to run with it disconnected

Thanx

should have given some more background

I have a A5oo with no desire for S/S but I do a modification planned sometime in the future (! or 2 years away) that will need an internal switch/

Just looking for an integrated position for such a switch and was wondering if those blanks under the TCT and demister where possible

Now how do i get a switch ???

Cheers
