Hey guys one of my dipped beam interior plastic light covers is missing. Is there any need to bother about a replacement? Thanks for letting me know.

Fiat left mine off and the headlight filled with dust sand and dirt and I had them remove the headlight to clean it all out and replace the cover.

I see so its there to keep dust and sand out of the way. I'll check with the dealer for a replacement shouldnt be too expensive

I figured out why the plastic cover is there. The heat burned through the plastic without the light cover! 
? Any fire hazard? (I replaced the cover)

Sorry for the unclear picture but if you look carefully there is a hole on the plastic!

Ok here is a better picture. The light smells like burnt plastic when i remove the cover!!

Check the contact between the bulb and the socket, that'll be the cause of the burning. Unless you've been putting higher wattage bulbs in to try and make the lights brighter.

Yeah i checked it the heat has corroded the connection. No same bulbs as normal its the lack of the plastic cover that had caused it. Do i need to replace it or keep it as it is now that i have the plastic cover again?

In fact i replaced the bulb today and it was a hassle due to the decay of the plastic! Light still works fine though.

Will it be a problem if i leave it as is or shall i replace the socket bgunn?
