Hi all,

As you all know, I have a new to me 2013 ex-demo 500 Street TA.

I have a question regarding the windows? The drivers door window will go up and down automatically with one touch, however the passenger door window will only rise if you keep your finger on the button? I have tried holding the button down once the glass has been raised, but to no avail?

Any advice anyone? I've looked in the handbook, and couldn't find any mention of it?

It's functioning exactly as it should be.

There is no autoclose on the passengers window for health & safety reasons.

If you are a cynic, you could say there is no autoclose because FIAT were too cheap to fit an obstruction sensor.

Thanks for the clarification. I just skimmed it and thought that the others had noted that the passenger door window wasn't one-touch to close, unlike the driver's, which is.

I thought that one of them thought that this seeming discrepancy might be a fault, whereas in fact it is a design and safety feature that has been incorporated into Fiats for a long time now. I was only trying to reassure people.

My mistake I'm sure...

Err no it isn't, the latter is the exact reason there isn't this function on the passenger side.

All Fiats are like this, and have been for at least ten years.

Wrong. Most larger Fiats for the last decade have. All Stilos and current Bravos have one touch on ALL (yes all four) of the windows ;)

My MX-5 (2010) has one touch down on both windows, but one touch up on neither. Isn't it weird that Fiat only stopped one touch up on one door??

My 500 definitely has one touch down on both doors.

Thanks for your help guys.

I'll have to test this on my 2012 build date 500C TwinAir. I could've sworn that both my windows have the one-touch-close, but I could be wrong :p

It is on 500's, not Panda's though

Just tried it out on our new shape Panda and it is one touch down on both sides, but only one touch up on the driver's side.

So basically the same as the 500. I can only assume this was some mod they made when launching the 500 back in 2007, but never actually bothered to update the previous gen Panda - at least not until the new one was launched last year!

I'm talking about proper Panda's, not this modern crap :p

Kidding of course, I refer of course to Mk3 Panda's.
