I read few threads where few of us are experiencing delays in 500s deliveries. Anyone else having this issue?

I'm in week 12 of my wait... Should be picking it up next week

I ordered mine the end of march and the dealer still cannot tell me when I will have the car just that I have at least a few more weeks to wait :/

U r not the first one... I heard lots of delays on 500 S deliveries. Firstly, Fiat hugely underestimated orders for the first half of the year, secondly parts for the car seem to be delayed being delivered. Well, my ETA is 02/09/13... Still a long wait... Did you ask your dealer to give you un update on your order progress? Ask for a status update

Just spoken to the dealer was told its going to be September for delivery

I only just ordered my 500 and have been told I will get it Sept/Oct. One dealer said it will be November if lucky. I am in Australia.

He told me there are major problems and that I could have my deposit back!!! I've been told every month that I will have it in a few weeks.

I'll find out with my dealer and let you know but in any case he must be able to provide you with a code status on your order. If you find that out it gives you an idea on the production progress of your car

Thank you. He told me he could not give me an update today as he could not access the system! The last update I had was beginning of may stage 20. But I think someone must have been telling porkies then :/.

I would be calling Fiat Customer Service.

I would be looking at other marques.

I ordered my fiat may 14th. And last week the dealer told me it would be here in 7-10 days so I am just sitting and waiting. Some how I think I won't be getting it yet

Not really, that's a reasonable lead time, Lau24's dealer could have forgotten to order the car, it has happened.....

Oh right well fingers crossed then. It's been 7 days today so I am preying it is here by Friday. What do you think?

306 is absolutely right. Call Fiat customer service and complain about the delay... You might find out that your dealer completely forgot about you... I ordered mine on 16/06 and ETA is 02/09... Why would he want to give your deposit back??

Thank you for the replies. Something has definitely gone wrong somewhere. Reading the posts on here people ordered after me and have either had the car or will be shortly .

As for the deposit back that doesn't change the fact I'm now without a car after waiting months and being told different "stories" when I contact the dealer

So fed up . Was so looking forward to having this car
