I know this is a strange thread, but When I take my car into work it gets dive bombed by birds, I have tried moving it to a different parking space, covering the roof with an old sheet, even today after work I gave it a wash and polish, turned my back to pick up the polish bottle and PLOP, PLOP,PLOP ! :bang:

I'm going to have to start parking it indoors if I can make any room.

I park amongst 20 other vehicles, but its always mine that gets pooped on

It does not happen to me at home, only work. There must be something about a Red Fiat 500 the birdies find offensive

It's getting a real pain as I know bird poop can eat into paint quite badly, I was thinking about getting an outdoor car cover, I presume they make them for the 500, but its got to be something that won't scratch the paint

That's perfect, bargain at £59.00, as its only going to be on when the car is parked at work :D cheers for that link :)

May even stretch to the more expensive one as its Cheaper than a re spray :)

My OHs MiTo which is Red in colour always seems to have bird poop on it. I've been out to it at least twice this week and the previous week... Not too sure on accurate this research work is but Red seems to attract them. We try and keep it parked well away from trees. Doesn't help that we're close to the sea.

Well at least I know it's not just me going crazy, red seems to be a popular poop target, but the good news is according to the article, seagull poop is not as bad as pigeon poop for damaging the paint :D

Maybe I should start a poop poll

Parked in a different spot from usual the other day - under a tree - and the next morning had EIGHT massive bird turds all over the roof, the bonnet, and the hatch. From the size of these whoppers they could only have come from bigger birds, magpies and crows. (We also have geese and pheasants, but I've never seen those perched in a tree, so I'm letting them off the hook.) In the following days I checked that same spot for droppings and although there wasn't a car parked there (could be a reason for that) there were none. Zero. Zilch. Nothing.

Now I've heard that birds aren't supposed to be able to crap voluntarily because they don't have sphincters. I call bull****.
