After being disappointed at not getting one of the £600, all in Monaco GP days offered by Groupon (45 offered nationally :bang:) I decided to do some research on how much it would cost to do the whole weekend at Spa. I started by looking at the usual packages and i discovered that unless you are prepared to spend upwards of £1000 it is impossible to get a a complete package, that is flights, hotel, transfers and tickets. By far, the cheapest way of doing it, is to drive. So im taking Luigi DB on a road trip, £200 fuel, £100 thru the pipe and Back, £210 B&B and £131 for weekend General admission tickets and two days parking at the track, call it £400 per man for the weekend, (i aint going on me todd  ) close on 1300 miles gonna make for a great drive, 23 weeks and counting :D

The Monaco GP is one event that the OH would be interested in going to and some of the ticket prices aren't too bad although I would like ones at that tight corner. Hate to think what accomodation would cost towards the end of May but one could probably stay at nearby Nice and bus it.
Checking out the Spa had not realised that it was a seperate track to the Nuberburgring with a lower noise decibels restriction and you can't have a 2nd driver.
So are you going to the Belgian GP in lieu of the above if you can get someone to go with you ? (I can't go)

I may see you at spa am going too but staying in brussels was the cheapest way to do it £600 all in the nearer yiu stayed to the circuit the sillyer the price got

I managed to get a hotel in Bastogne, an hour away from the circuit, have you got general bronze tickets? are your transfers to the track included?

I couldnt find any thing any closer, i didnt really want to stay in brussels, it seemed a bit of a hike to the track every day

Im getting one of these http://www.autobra.co.uk/shop/fiat-c-274_378.html
it don't look the best but i think it could save me a lot of heartache

I think but can't remember but I think we leave @6:30ish and we only ger ti the hotel around midnight:eek:at least tge drive to spa should let us rest.yes hopefully heading for eau rouge got to really haven't you:)

If you ever get tge chance deano get yourself to the hungarian gp.its onky half an hour outside budapest in a taxi.but about 2 hours back:D you can't beat queueing in a taxi line at 40 degrees

been to F1 in Barcelona and Silverstone couple of times on motorbikes, traffic is bit silly when leaving, with adrenalin flowing after the race the bikes are a bit dangerous, don't know what is best

I'm gonna see how this trip goes, if all goes to plan ill look at doing more, I don't mind driving anywhere, after all once you're thru the pipe Europe is your oyster so to speak but this is the only one ill do in the fiat as I'm limited to 10000 a year. A few of my pals are on about Le Mans, but I got so much on this year I can't do it, next year though maybe. Yourself? Have you been?

Never been to le mans but always watch as much of the 24 hours on eurosport:thumbup:I find just going to a f1 race really does me in so I'm not sure how I would cope with a full 24 hours
