Want half an Abarth 'Monza' exhaust for you Twinair?

Get one of these!

I sourced mine from Dotshop Italy.

Really great prices and fast delivery too [even from Italy]

The exhaust has given the Twinair a nice deep growl without being loud.

Looks amazing too.

Cheers,

A growl? Seriously? Maybe at speed it could almost be construed as so, but surely at idle it just sounds like a lawnmower ticking over?

I happen to think the engine produces enough noise with the standard exhaust as it comes, but each to their own! (I own a TA incase you're wondering).

Lol, seriously, it's a growl! Sounds great at idle too.

The rear 'bulge' silencer box is deleted and the pipe is physically a bigger diameter.

Very reminiscent of the original 500 Twin. Not 'lawnmowerish' at all.

It is not intrusive and the engine induction noise but you can really hear the difference.

Ian.

I've seen and heard the 500 Twin Air with the Magnetti-Marelli stainless exhaust and it looks and sounds superb. It has a "factory" look about it and the fit is perfect. It's one clamp to undo to remove the existing exhaust and the new one bolts straight on. Two people can easily do it in 30 minutes with a jack and a socket.

It's so good that I've ordered one to replace the Ragazzon that I currently have.

Hi , does anyone have full picture of this exhaust ?

Does it go from the front down pipe back pre the flexi joint or is it just the end pipe after the first box what does it include ?

Thanks

Is it a bolt on?

Yes, fits the standard middle/front pipe.
I fitted it on the drive (with a helping hand from Mark1968. Thanks Mark)
Cheers,
Ian.

It is just the rear section from just in front of the rear suspension beam.
The pipe standard pipe is joined there so it just replaces this section.
The 'bulge' silencer part is deleted do its just a straight though pipe and relies on the middle box if the standard pipe to keep things quiet.

Any chance of putting a video showing the sound up on youtube?

As requested here is a link to a sound clip on You Tube...

To be fair, this does not sound quite as good as it does in 'real life'. It sounds a little bit thin and metallic here.

Here is another one of tickover.... This is very representative of the actual sound.

Cheers,

Ian.

Oooh that sounds pretty funky! Was waiting for someone to post a decent video of the sound before getting one! Thanks! Although I cannot make my mind up between this one or the double exit one, the one that looks like the Record Monza one. If the double exit one is what I want, then a diffuser would be needed to accommodate the extra opening on the bumper. And, by the looks of it, that needs the bumper to be cut up to be fitted, which I am REALLY not keen on doing! (n)

You don't know the MM part number of your pipe, do you? I have a supplier that can get MM parts direct, but has no catalogue yet... Bit of a hasse, but he gets the parts, without me having to translate from Italian! :p

Has anyone heard the double exit Record Monza type pipe on a TwinAir?

Hello Ian.
? do you have any opinion about power increase. And is the sound in the car much higher or about the same in when you drive around 55 mph

Thanks Rob.

By the way read that you tuned you TA with Magneti Marelli ECU. Any thing that you recommend
