Hi all,

Thought I'd share a link to this gallery on Autoblog!

http://www.autoblog.com/2012/10/12/chrysler-previews-sema-showcars/

Personally I really like the look :D I imagine it might be a tad marmite. I love the wheels though, would love a slightly less extreme version, with the red painted punk grey, for my car ;-)

hope you're all well :)

Charlie -

ps: I wanted to embed some of the images in this post, but autoblog have some clever web design that makes it quite difficult, and I can't be bothered to save the pictures and re-upload elsewhere, sorry!

pps: here's an image, since I figured people would get annoyed just seeing a link:

ppps: on a total geek note, the car is a bit of a frankenstein job, as the front end appears to be a euro bumper, lights, number plate/chrome trim (although it's brushed) but clearly USA car innards and the rear end looks to be USA as well, with a US shaped number plate space (as far as I can tell). Weird...

oh, and what's very odd is that the euro front bumper has US side markers.. Ok, I'll stop now.

edit no.532 : ok, face+palm, they could well be US headlights, it's just hard to tell from the angle in the above photo. I think maybe the euro number plate/chrome is maybe my imagination as well, but I'm pretty sure it is. This will teach me to have a nice friday night dinner (with wine of course) and then "just check the web before bed". Ignore my ramblings :D

ahh, nice one. I didn't recall that one at all. Could well be.

As for the newer one, I particularly like all the brushed metal detailing, like the handles on the inside, they look great brushed ;-) Not that I would, but I think taking some wire wool to ours wouldn't work out (presumably they're not metal? although I am not sure). :p

Quite horrendous but the louvres in the bonnet and the treatment of the wheels are an intriguing throw-back to the first Fiat 500, the pre- and post-war Topolino, emphasised by the fully-opening canvas roof - another retro step.

you could probably get them wrapped like it

Brushed metal detailing also Topolino-esque - I'm sure the original interior and exterior door handles, for instance, were aluminium.
