Hi everyone

I have a volare blue Lounge which I've had for 18 months now, I absolutely love it :) but after seeing the new TV ads I'm really tempted by the new Colour Therapy range...especially the New Age Cream.

I was considering going into the dealers this weekend to see what they could do for me (as I'm on I-Deal finance at the moment) but my conscience stopped me - I feel like I'm cheating on my Lounge

A friend told me it's best to wait at least 2 years on a finance deal before trading in - has anyone any experience of this?

Just go and see what they can do, they are less likely to do a deal in sept and march as they will have sold loads of cars this month but you never know they may need to sell one car to hit their quarterly target. I managed to get £5000 off a new BMW 3 years ago by just being lucky they they needed to ge another registration for target.

thanks RUI I'm not in a hurrry to be honest so may wait until later in the year. I'm just worried I go in, get carried away and come out having agreed to a new contract

My partner has a colour therapy and dont get me wrong it looks the nutz inside and out and always gets admiring glances and sniles in its yellow colour - all i would say is dont forget the high spec your lounge will have compared to the colour therapy.

Well I popped into my dealer today and they gave me a part exchange figure of £250 less than what I paid for my 1.3 diesel sport a year ago, so after paying 2700 to clear the finance I will have a Abarth 500c interest and payment free for 2 years.

That sounds a cracking deal, would've been rude to say no, lol. Also, good to see the growing number ex 500 owners joining the Abarth ranks. (y)

Tempting hmmm if it had blue and me fitted as standard I would have been:)

The mustard colour is growing on me, still waiting to see a beige one! Would really love a deep brown 500 with ivory leather seats, now thaat's 70's class:p

Hi newbie here ! :)

I'm thinking of ordering a fiat 500 lounge and paying extra for the new age cream paint once ive seen one in real life !

However my problem is I don't seem to be able to have the lounge in the colour with the black and white checkered interior seats !(n)

does any one know if there is any way round this or if they may make this an option soon !! Happy to pay extra as have got my heart set on the seats and paint !

Thanks

It's the way the configurator works, it won't let you have all colours with all interior trim options.
You could speak to your dealer and see if there's a way around this. When I asked my dealer about specifying a different seat covering he recommended using a reupholstering service too obtain any combination I wanted.
I have read on the forum that your choice of seats are difficult to keep clean.
Personally I have considered retrimming seats and respraying the 500 to my exact specification but the estimated cost of up to 3k made me discount this option!:)

Well I haven't had a chance to pop into the garage yet.

Point taken about comparing specs - although to be honest I'm not mad on the glass roof on my lounge and I barely use the Blue & Me (I'm a radio 1 kind of girl!!) so I wouldn't miss those.

I love the look of the mustard yellow too, but the cream just looks so retro especially with the chocolate brown interior. I love it!!

Spinnerdcc that sounds like a brilliant deal :)

B&M is more about voice control for your mobile.

Yes I do occasionally use it for making calls etc, but to be honest 9 times out of 10 it doesn't recognise my Geordie accent, so I end up screaming at it in frustration (and inevitably calling someone I don't want to speak to). :(

If it's a number you've called before, you can simply go into last calls menu and select the person from there :)

You need a veeeery sympathetic dealer. They order one of the colour you want and another with the seats you want and then swap the seats from one into the other. :)

Obviously they'll be left with the other 500 to sell... so they won't necessarily fancy the idea, even if they charge you extra to swap the seats around.... but it's worth asking. They may even have one with the seats you want already in stock, which should lessen their pain..

And once you persuade them to do that, you should find a solution for world peace, turn lead into gold, and predict the next Saturday night's winning lottery numbers.

There is no way a dealer will fiddle with a new car just to please another customer. For a start, they would get their asses sued if they sold it without saying it was non-standard, plus anyone who looked up the car's spec would know it was wrong. Why would they bother?

I had a play on the configurator a couple of weeks ago, and it looks like you can raid the options list on the Colour Therapy model to achieve what is virtually a Lounge spec. - seems to come out cheaper, too. Worth investigating if I'm right.

My dealer did for a customer. They swapped the black alloys from a customers new TA+ for a silver set on a lounge. They then put the lounge on as a demo, so it was a used car when it came to be sold. i know an interior is a bit more than a set of wheels but you never know until you ask.

I can understand it with wheels, wheels can be chopped and changed easily. But I wouldn't trust a dealer to take the seats and door cars out of another car and swap them over without doing damage to one or both cars, or at least not putting them in properly.....
