On my 1.2 500 Lounge, I've got start&stop :).

I was of the impression that when the car was started that this was "on" but it isn't supposed to kick-in until several conditions are met i.e. the engine up to temperature etc but mine seems to be "off" as default.

I can manually switch it off but that doesn't seem relevant as it very rarely kicks-in. I can honestly say that only twice has it ever kicked-in and on both occasions I panicked, thinking something was wrong.

I've played around with the 'citi' button on the dash but that doesn't seem to do much other than lighten the steering.

Am I missing something in the setup menus, or is it faulty?

Hi,
After 1,200 miles in my TA lounge my ss works very well, the one factor I have noticed during the learning time is that if the heater ac fan is on just over the half way point then the ss does not work. This seems to be the one major factor other than the air con on at 19 degrees or the heated rear window being on.

Suggest turn the fan speed down and see if your Ss performs as it should.

I have noticed a change in the way this works since the latest update.

I have the Climate Control, and when I got the car the S&S would not work if the heater or AC was on with the fan at more than 50%,

But when it went in for some work they did a software upgrade, and now with the S&S on the engine stops whatever the setting on the fan, once the engine is stopped the fan slows to just 2 bars of speed, and when the engine restarts the fan goes back up to the power level it was before. Seems a much more logical solution than the old refusing to stop method.

Although from the way the OP has described it seems more than just a fan issue and maybe worth a trip to the dealer and show them it not performing.

Mine doesn't seem to kick-in even when the fan is off. Is there anything else other than AC or HRW that affects whether the S&S kicks in?

As it is, I'm quite happy it's not doing it, but I'm more than curious why not.
