My little baby is due her 18000 mile service in 500 miles so I thought I'd get a couple of quotes from local dealers.
One didn't bother to respond to my email and the other quoted me £101.57p.
Now I was expecting to pay twice that for that particular service from a main dealer.
I've asked them to confirm they understood what is required and what vehicle I have because it seems to cheap.

It doesn't give me a lot of faith in the dealer if they can't even get a quote right.
Btw I've used them before to fix a stop go failure and they managed to bust the ecu whilst flashing it.

Got to be wrong. You're spot on to confirm exactly what they are doing - in writing I trust?

Despite living in the Facetube and Youbook age, dealers still struggle to reply to emails I think. A phone call might be a good idea.

Well if you can consider an email written, but as so far they've failed to respond I'll probably end up phoning the other dealer.

Yes, an email is fine - it just gives you the winning hand in the inevitable "oh no I never" "oh yes you did" argument.

Well they've confirmed it's £101 and I've spoken to the other dealer who have said it's £101 + parts making it £151. They've also said the 18000 mile service does not include a oil or filter change but if I want this they'll do the whole lot for £200.

The other dealer said pretty bluntly that somebody is incompetant.

Spoke to the service manager from the dealer who offered it for £101 and he's confirmed it is indeed wrong, but has said he'll honour the quote.

i wouldnt use a dealer that has incompetent people working there, think about it...

Hmmm true I'd almost forgot about this dealer buggering up the ecu in the past.
