Hi to all,
I am new to this forum and have recently bought a fiat 500 1.2 sport, 2009 model.
I want to fit the standard twin abarth exhaust and rear bumper, apart from reducing the pipe connection is there anything else i should know, does the exhaust sit below the spare wheel well as there doesnt seem to be a lot of depth there:confused:, any advice would be appreciated(y)

There was a guy on the FF before my time and he fitted a Monza on his 1.2 and it fitted. (Click here) If you do a search on exhaust in the 'title' field a few threads will come up. Got the impression that the right outlet could clear the end of the bumper without having to put a 'cut' into it.
Judging from the Monza guy his exhaust stuck out a bit with the standard rear F500 bumper but it was OK.
To keep down costs you could consider just fitting the A500 back box and going for skirts. IMHO fitting a rear A500 bumper would involve doing the front to give it balance and now your looking like a A500 - which would cause a lot of insurance headaches.

The standard abarth twin exhaust and rear bumper/diffuser looks great imo and wont look unbalanced without the abarth front bumper, having had a look an abarth today it looks like a pretty easy job, such as reducing the pipe and perhaps welding a couple of extra hangers for the abart box, just bought a fairly new abarth box from ebay for a mere £65:D just need a rear bumper now(y)

Had a quick look on-line and there's plenty of choice in Abarthy bits compared to last year. Keep us posted on how you get on.

It should look ok with just the abarth back bumper and exhaust. You could always change the front at a later date.

Just bought a complete abarth bumper for £110, respray to Grigio Quarzo £95:D looking forward to fitting it all up hopefully next week(y)

hello guys i have the fiat 500 sport of 2008 but it really looks like a pop except the taligate spoiler. I am interested to know if it's possible to install the sport bumpers on my model

A sport looks exactly the same as the pop in terms of body panels

I suspect he means the latest 500S (Sport) that have different front and rear bumpers.

Don't know for sure, but visually there doesn't seem any reason why you couldn't fit these to any 500. They would be expensive to buy new, and rare to find used, so may be easier and cheaper to get a used set of abarth front and rear bumpers. They are often on eBay.

Cheers

Steve

actually guys i ve talked with fiat and the new model bumpers are not much expensive so i am interested in them but no one tells me if i can install them on my model. Please if anyone can tell me for sure it will be much appreciated

excellent ones thank you very much! but i need to be 100% sure that they fit my model in order to order them thank you

That's easy, take your bumper off and see if the fixing points match those on pictures on eBay. I'd very surprised they don't. You don't have to worry about matching up with other panels as they are the same on all 500's.
