hi all, the air filter box has three sections to it and only one of those leads to the throttle body so i was wondering as the other two are closed off. would it make any difference if i were to cut these sections out??? would i get a better throttle response or more power, or am i wasting my time. thanks all

I just fitted an induction kit, £28 universal filter and a few bits of pipe i chopped to fit.

On a 1.2 the recommendation is to stick with a 'performance' replacement panel filter along the lines of K&N, ITG, etc.
Re the CAI I have only seen one supplier claim to increase power from 69bhp to 76bhp using an ITG setup but at c.£200 it's not cheap. I would be dubious if your setup does anything better than the OEM setup except for induction noise. Also any modifications need to be 'run past' your insurance co.
