I have just ordered a brand new twinair from my local dealer which does not have air con, I have just looked on the website and it says that all twinairs have air con so wondered if anyone knew why mine may not have. I thought I would post on here before speaking to the dealer and would be grateful of any responses.

I thought it was a standalone twinair, it has black alloys/black interior and (although the dealer says he forgot to charge for these) b&m with the leather steering wheel. It is a car they have as stock so it has been configured for them but after looking it up on the Fiat website and noticing that it lacks aircon i thought i would ask you guys before seeing what the dealer says.

If it has black alloys these are unique to the 'Twin Air' model & 'Twin Air plus' so it should have Air Con. The B&Me is an extra on the 'Twin Air' model so if the dealer is not charging for this you have saved yourself about £500.

P.S. Note that the Twin Air plus has 16 inch as opposed to 15 inch alloys on the 'Twin Air'.

Thanks for the replies, I phoned the dealer this morning and despite the salesman telling me it doesnt have aircon another salesman confirmed it does. I think I have a reasonable deal now especially with the free B&M and chequered roof ( bossa nova white car ) and can now look forward to picking it up next week :) thanks again for your replies.

yes i have seen the car, but the salesman said no aircon so i 'assumed' he knew what he was talking about. it was only when i got home and checked that i saw it was standard equipment.

Can I just add that for those of us new to Fiat we may not know things like where the a/c is as for most cars there is an on/off switch, forums can be helpful for us newbies to get to know how some things work so when replies such as "....." come in they are really not being very helpful.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I think the ...... was because of the dealers stupidity. In any case they do have ac and this goes as a fact of life, dont trust anyone until you check yourself = ) In any case i am glad your question is answered and the problem has been solved.

Good point, Rob. And welcome to our happy little forum. Actually, we're all on best behaviour atm (the Chief Mod has issued a v. stern warning).

Having said that, our Flo would never say anything thoughtless. I suspect she was aghast at the thought of a "salesman knowing what he is talking about"(!)

I know only too well what you mean about not being familiar with all the gadgets etc on a new car. I'm still posting questions about basic items, and I've had my 500 for over a year!

Stick with us, Rob. I'm sure Flo will be on eventually to blow you a kiss.:)

The A/C is switched on by pressing in the fan speed knob. The only model without A/C with the twinair engine is the Pop, which doesn't come with alloys. Sounds like you've got yourself a good deal.

Thank you, I am actually excited to be getting my car this week. This is a great forum and resource for all things Fiat and I am sure to be asking for your help again. Thank you all and I shall return when I am a bona fide Fiat 500 twinair owner next week :)
