Anyone knows when fiat is going to release the 0.9 105hp twinair?
It was supposed to be launched in 2011 but there is no sign of it.

I think fiat messed up on this one so far or it was a rumor looks like they cant make the twinair 105 hp and reliable at the same time and for now are sticking with the 1.4 for the performance range = )
None of their new release cars have announced a more powerful twinair either, the 500L perhaps?

Not looking good so far though.

The 500 Zagato has been announced with the twinair 105.....

Apparently there is a 500 Zagato somewhere in this picture but no matter how long I look at it I just cannot see it.

love to see the fuel economy on a 105bhp TA

Whatever it turns out to be, I'm betting it'll bear no relationship at all to the numbers FIAT manage to convince the homolgators the car has achieved in 'official' testing :(.

If manufacturers really cared about producing ecocars, they'd be designing and innovating technologies which work in real world driving, rather than optimising everything to get the best possible economy under a set of conditions which will only be duplicated very rarely out on the road .

Like eveyone else, my cars are down around 10% in the cold weather we're having just now. How hard would it be to come up with a grille design that doesn't bathe the engine compartment in icy air when it's struggling to reach operating temperature?

Not difficult at all, Ford are doing it with the new Focus (for aerodynamic reasons)..

I'd like to see a zagato Abarth version !!

i'd second that, having specced up an A500 this weekend for me cracking car for the money and probably not much for thirsty than the 105 will be

There's a EVO shoot test in this month's magazine on 'budget' Hot hatchbacks. Surprise winner but the A500 is commented as the 'forgotten one' given all the reviews of the esseesse model. Competitively priced in the same 'ball park' as the standard Mini Cooper (not the S). Surprise winner - one I would have no interest in driving. There was 'talk' of the new A500 with the MA engine arriving in Q4 (this came from a particular Abarth garage in NI) so I reckon that whatever stock is out there could be got cheaper than this Zagoto 105hp model if it arrives this year.

and yes, it was announced at Geneva. On the 500L presentation, the 105hp twinair was announced.

So the 500L will have the 105hp twinair? Apparently the replacement for the Panda 100hp will have the 105hp twinair, so i'd assume the 500 with eventually get it? If i were Fiat, i'd use the 105hp TA in the TwinAir Plus spec - as a range topper.

When will the rumored twin clutch automatic be available in the 500? A few Australian websites said the 500 TwinAir will get a DCT auto in the near future...

If that is for real that is good news as I was thinking that the Fiat 500 L would not be quick enough with the 85 hp. It would need something more powerful to carry the weight out of town and go above 170 kmh comfortably on the motorway.
