showing off now... 10k eh :) did you admire yourself in the mirror and post a pic on twitter :D

I don't do Twitter. Fiat Forum is as sad as I get.

Oh, and I couldn't see in the mirror due to the excessive number of attractive young ladies who had followed me home and had crowded into the bathroom to watch me shower....

Just another average shower for Robin.

I had that on a '09 Lounge with chequered seats. At the time I did think that it was unusual but IMHO it was not an issue that I would have bothered Fiat CS about. After all what you're buying is a Fiat with a bit of character. Sometimes high quality loses that 'magic' that can be hard to pinpoint.

Spent some time today trying to feed the plastic back through the piping - made some progress but it's ver difficult to do.

Looked at the passenger seat (flipped up the base/storage) and have noticed it's started slightly on there also, but as only a small bit it's not yet poking out from under of the cloth yet.

The only explanation I can fathom is that it's the movement of the person getting out of the seat that can be causing it, as on both seats the problem shows on the outside rather than the inside of the seat.

Easiest way for everyone to check is to squeeze the piping trim on the seat base near the back rest to feel if it's solid or not.

In follow on from a PM I didn't report the 'loose piping trim' to the dealer and I know of no one with it. To me it's really a trival matter unless there's a danger that catching it could cause the fabric to unravel. I would be of the opinion that if you build up a history of reporting what I would deem to be a trival matter when it comes to a 'bigger issue' then you may not get their attention - you could lose out on the 'goodwill' gesture if something is not strictly covered.

Well, the dealers have agreed this is a fault and have discused with Fiat in Italy and they are sending a replacement seat cover. When it arrives we will make sure that the ends of the piping is sealed as it is a simple thing to do to stop this reoccurrance, as the empty piping on my current seat cover is now showing to be obviously different to the passenger seat.

I'm very grateful to them and they are keen in these curent economic times to display exemplary customer service attention in order to look after their clients.

It's these types of things that populate the best form of advertising and it's free, as well as buildinig a loyal customer base to encourage repeat business.

Many thanks for the update Elio. That is indeed good advertising for Fiat. I'm hoping to have a similar result at the moment with what the OH says is a 'happy problem'. Unless I take a Frupi approach  I'll doubt I'll match your success.(y)

Sorry to hear you have an issue with your car, what's the problem?

I've touched on the problem in this thread...
https://www.fiatforum.com/500/286259-500-blue-me-satnav-any-good-2.html?p=2941825

So far no joy but I'm being persistent but I have a case number so that's a start. It's also a lesson for anyone that buys a car with a 68R option port not to assume that it will work with a Tom Tom Blue & me live 2 model. It's advertised with that it will work with all Mitos :( and 500 models although the 500 may have been qualified with a date.
