Twinair Lounge - auto climate control?

Just ordered a Twinair Lounge and I'm trying to work out if it'll come with manual climate control (the knobs) or auto climate control as standard. The Fiat website says automatic climate control is standard on the Twinair Lounge, but looking around at pics of '61' plate Twinair Lounges most seem to have the knobs so presumably manual climate control. Can anyone set me straight on this?

It doesn't really make much difference to me, but I'd just like to know that what I get when the car arrives is what I should be getting.

Thanks.

Re: Twinair Lounge - auto climate control?

I bought a TA Lounge back in June and auto-aircon was an extra. I've just looked at the configurator and it's not an option any longer. Auto-aircon also appears as a standard option, so it looks like you should expect it.

Good luck. Hope it goes well.

Thanks for your reply. Fingers crossed it has the auto climate control. Should be here this week or next so I'll find out soon.

Re: Twinair Lounge - auto climate control?

For a while now, the configurator has called the Lounge variant with the twinair engine the "Twinair Lounge (ACC)", which presumably means Automatic Climate Control. Other engine options on the Lounge trim don't seem to have this. I presume it's been done to make the Lounge compare well with the Twinair Plus, which also has ACC.

You'll get the auto climate control on a new TA build

They should make xenons standard! Not climate control which has no benefit whatsoever as with standard climate control all you have to do is play with the knobs until you feel warm or cool = ) But this would cost fiat more money of course.

Xenons for standard? That would be a good idea but they are TOO EXPENSIVE!

I love climate control but at least here in Greece it doesnt come as a standard!

Climate its just great, i love its design and of course the auto option.

Re: Twinair Lounge - auto climate control?

Guys all jetset cars these days come with Xenons as standard. Bmw's, Porsches, Ferraris, Range Rovers, you name it!
I think it is time for Fiat to jump on the bandwagon if its such a cool car marque, especially with a premium supermini as the 500!
If budget was the rule of the day then fine no xenons for the Panda!

Its a safety related issue!
Its like the Germans with VW, saying for extra airbags you need to pay haha. If you are poor we want you to die quicker! = )

Re: Twinair Lounge - auto climate control?

Not sure what a "jetset" car is, but for me a large part of the cool allure of the 500 is that it is not a "thrusting" BMW, Porsche, Ferrari or Range Rover.

Also, you are wrong that Xenons are standard in the cars you listed.
For example, on a BMW 320d, Xenons are a 500 option.

I'm afraid that budgets count at every price point.

It's a type of car you buy to prove to others that you're successful.

Quite. A Fiat 500 is the car I've treated myself to, with the sole reason of proving to myself that I'm successful. I'm not sure that I should really worry about proving anything to anyone else.

It's a classless chic design. Works for me.

Re: Twinair Lounge - auto climate control?

i ticked the box for climate as had it on last three cars so for me was a no brainer, its reassuring ahmett is content with twiddling his knob

did consider xenons but options were racking up, hindsight i wish i'd ticked the box, new arrival in march has them and think their will be no going back
