Nice! Black badges would be fantastic, could buy a spare badge and have a go at taking it apart? You've tempted me now :p

Your wife will be more than happy with the plus, we got ours in september and I'm still finding excuses to drive it everywhere. "the golf is dirty, lets take the 500!" :D

Oh yeah, great little car. You will enjoy it for sure(y)

Welcome aboard and congratulations to the missus and yourself on the new car.
Looks like a very nice blue one with all the mod cons.(y)

I have had a go at black badges and it can be done. If you want to make the red part of the badge black you need to cut the back of the badge away but you WILL damage the badge, even when you know what you are doing and have done it a few times on different badges.

I am pretty handy when it comes to stuff like that but I have given up at it.

You may be better at it than me but buy 5 badges because you will use them.

Looking rather fine!
Congratulations.... I thought we had settled on our choices for our 500, I'm not so sure now (y)

well we've finally taken collection of the 500 - it's just a shame its always too dark to get pictures :(

I've got to say i'm impressed but will take time to get used to...

Stop Strat - i know it's 'active' but should the revs not go to 0 when i stop?

The red badges aren't as noticable as i thought but i'll still try the black badges - hoped these would be able to be bought though :(

It's got loads of mod cons but always room for improvement :D I'm just getting used to the site so i'm sure i'll find what others have done etc...

Yes, the revs should go to zero when it stops. Has the engine stopped? The TA sounds like a very quiet lawnmower at idle... My new TA is at the garage today for them to look at the stop/start as it's not working correctly. Make sure you read the nasty adobe based PC manual on stop start as there are many factors that affect whether it works or not. The "quick start" manual only goes into the basics that the engine should stop in neutral/clutch up. Even given that mine has a mind of its own.

Congratulations on the new car, have fun running it in. Mine clicked over 1000 miles yesterday so it's time to unleash my 875cc beast!
