Technical Cigarette Lighter Fuse

Hello everyone.... hope someone can help!

My cigarette lighter also doesn't work in my Fiat 500 (2008 Pop 1.2)

I looked in the manual, and saw that the relevant fuse was F85 (front power socket), so I went to Halfords and got a new fuse...

... but the cigarette lighter STILL doesn't work :(

What else could the problem be? Could it be a wiring issue?

Many thanks for any advice! I may just have to take it to get checked out at the FIAT dealer?

Hi there before people start I would like to say the car has come with out a manual hence why I am writing on here...

My cigarette lighter has seemed to have blown and I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it or what fuse needs changing for it to work as I mainly use it for charging my sat nav and my phone. Without it I'm a bit screwed, I read on here from someone else post that is was F85 15 amp fuse.. On my still there is no number labeled F85 so was wondering if anyone had a manual they could find out which fuse needs replace..

Many Thanks

Where are you looking? If the fuse is blown, go through the fuses in the fuse box in the engine bay and see which is blown.

Engine bay fuse box.
Depending on model, it could be the larger size fuse - probably 20amp, close to the larger 30amp fuse in the box.
If not, then you have a problem in the wiring.

It's easy to download a manual - they're hosted on this site, but an even easier way is to download it directly from Fiat by typing your registration number into this link.

You can even buy a hardcopy manual from your friendly local Fiat dealer - but I'd guess they're even more overpriced than Emmet's Coffee.

Fair enough :) The fuse is F85 and is a 15 amp fuse :)

Sorry for being crabby, we just get a lot of lazy people on here who would rather take up 30 seconds of someone elses time than 30 seconds of their own time.

Always a good idea to take your manual with you on long trips :)

JUST IN CASE any other us-spec people find this post and go down this rabbit hole, the US fuse for the accessory socket is F15 not F85.
