I have a 500, 1.2 and have noticed the infamous "fuel smell". It actally smells like aviation fuel rather that petrol. As suspected I found that the hose from the cam shaft cover, going under the air filter has split. I am going to replace it myself and can see that the filter box is removed by removing the aln bolt at the front and then the two bolts holding down the box. I guess that the split hose goes into the air box but cannot see underneath properly. Does anybody have a diagram or schematic of the air filter box or has anybody done this before? I would just like to be prepared before I start removing the box,
Many thanks.

Thank you for that, it will be very usefull. I notice that the air intake on mine is different, it is attached to the bonnet lock plate, held in pladce by an aln bolt,
Thanks.

Job done!. The new hose cost £16 (inc vat) and it took about 30 minutes. The only tricky bit is removing and refitting the air box to the plastic post/rubber bush at the back but I think that a quick squirt of WD 40 would make it much easier.
