Hi,
I'm getting on well with my 500, except for one little but rather important thing...putting fuel in it! At my local Texaco garage I can barely put 50p's worth of fuel in the tank without the petrol pump "clicking" off.
I know 500's are supposed to be economical but this is crazy, I just want to fill it up!:bang:
I've tried filling it slowly but thats not helped, is there a technique or something?

Thanks in advance,
Glenda

So the 500 is playing hard to fill !! you need to be gentle and try diff angles with the nozzle and not insert fully, otherwise it stops too quickly  The problem I have is how to stop the pump on a round figure without spending an extra penny.

If there is a better way to explain then the forum is yours, see you cant even use forum in this sentence. *FRA*

Thanks for re, solved it! Turned the fuel pump to a 7-8oclock angle and it went in a charm!

i had the same problem with mine when i first got it find the easiest way is to insert pump and push down or let it rest on the bottom ie don't hold the pump in the air let the weight rest if that makes sense seems to work fine now lol

ha ha mine is the same - I keep telling the garages their pumps are not working properly lol I've got a twin air plus now but had a 1.2 Sport before and never had that problem with the Sport!

yeah I have to hold the pump at different angles too - every time I fill up I tell myself "this is f****in ridiculous!" LOL
