OK you're the second person to say that (lloyd said it in an earlier thread :p ) so I'll do something about it (not exactly hard! :p ) and I'll also do something about the silly paragraphs. It really was one of those moments where I simply took what was in my head and put it on paper so to speak :)

Hi 306MAXI

sorry to be a nuisance - on the 500 spec it says heated wing mirrors how do I switch them on, I can not see where it says in t)3 manual or wi
Hich switch refers to it?

Thanks in advance

Hi There

The battery in my 2008 500 has now died. I'm in Australia and for the life of me can not find a replacement battery. Been to Repco and Sprint, both have no idea as to what battery goes in there. I desperately need advice. Which battery, where to buy it and how much will it cost me?

I would really appreciate some help. :)

Try Battery World. They have all sorts of batteries, accessories and they do custom work. When I inquired about a Lithium Braille battery they knew what I was talking about, so they should be able to source anything.

Thanks for writing a very useful guide. It just so happens that I was going to call the dealer this morning about 2 issues. ..1 being crunchy reverse gear and 2 being the fact I noticed my dash lights turn off yesterday whilst i had headlights on! Dont think il be making that trip to dealer now :) oh and im going to have a good hunt for the secret glove compartment too:)

Hi
I recently purchased a 2009 Fiat 500 1.2 lounge. A day after driving I got a check transmission see handbook. The problem is my handbook is in Japanese. Does anyone know what type of transmission fluid this type of fiat takes? I live in the Bahamas synthetic based fluids are available however because I don't have an English manual I am lost. The nearby US dealers can't assist because Fiat 500 wasn't introduced to them until 2012. Attached is a picture of my error from chapter 3 in my manual.
Thanks in advance for the help.
As promised here is a 500 buyers guide/FAQ which I promised many many months ago. To be honest it's still mostly the one I did in October 2009 so there is a lot that's changed since then (twinair engine and spec) and with it being very rough there are things which may be wrong and there are silly things like the fact that I yammer on about tyre sizes before I talk about engines and spec levels which is just plain dumb! Thought I should get onto it today and at least start getting it right or else I'd never do it.

Need to put a lot more work into it but wanted a bit of feedback and most importantly, some photos of wheels and different colours. Any pictures of the different wheels, different options (leather, climate control etc etc) and also different colours would be more apreciated. At this point in time the only thing I've got pictures of is my own car and I think it would be a touch rude to go around the forum nicking people's photos if they don't want their car to be in my guide. So far I have pictures of the following options, BNW, a lounge, 16" multispokes, steel wheels, red leather, side rubbing strips and most importantly, winter tyres! :p . Any other pictures can go to the email address in the document (y) I'd rather not post it here or have anyone post it on here as I'll start getting spam then! Please try to make the pictures good ones which give as good a picture as possible of what the wheel or seats or whatever actually look like :)

Enjoy!

Daniel
