Hey guys,

I am trying to source a good price for a Carzone bodykit for the wee 500.
I have been put in charge of the task to source the kit for my client who is going to be making a one off Fiat 500 in aid of raising money for the Breast Cancer Research Trust here in New Zealand.
We have colaborated with a local fashion designer (www.Zambesi.co.nz) who has offered to dedicate his time free of charge to create something special to auction off via trademe.co.nz (NZ Ebay) to raise money, this all after we have toured the country in the car leading a group of Fiat 500's new and old.

I have sourced the car at a nicely discounted price from my distributors and now need to find as much as possible for free or at a discount so that we can maximise the money from the auction.

The Fiat 500 we are doing is the 1.4 16v Sport.
NZ Spec is Climate Control, Blue&Me, sports seats, 16" Alloys, tinted rear windows, chrome exhaust tip and rear spoiler plus a little more but thats the basics.

Would anyone know who or where I can get a wholesale price for the Carzone kit? I have emailed a few suppliers in the UK and awaiting their response too.

If people want I can keep this up to date and put up the progress of the car.

Any help much appreciated!

I have a particular interest in this because of my late mum.

Are you dead set on the Carzone kit for the 500 1.4 Sport ?

I have seen the Fiat accessory one on a Calypso Orange and it looked really well - it looked like it came as part of the car.

I would not be a fan of the Carzone kit - but I did at one stage consider this one at €941 retail - they're based in eastern Europe

I am just sourcing what my designer has said he wants.
Zambesi is a very "black" brand. He will make the car look pretty awesome I suspect, i've heard some of his ideas and I reckon the kit will be true to what he wants to do design wise.
I know what you mean about the other kits, they keep in touch with the 500 and its lines whereas the Carzone one doesnt, but this is what we need, something to stand out and make a statement.

The Sport I have is a metallic black car with black sports cloth.

I have a '08 Black Sport with red leather and the Italian stripe across the bonnet & roof and along the sides - it was a bit flash but it put a smile on your face. It was not to everyone's liking. I can post pictures if you are interested as a fall back in case you need a backup plan.

I believe he knows what he's doing so i'm going to fly with it, Zambesi is a very well known Kiwi designer (within NZ) so once finished and his name put to it i'm sure it will all work nicely.

Thanks for the PM. (y) Understand that you're 'making a bit of progress'. Some of the 'new' guys on the FF (including me :)) would be interested in seeing pictures on the 'new look' and the 'other changes' that you're planning.

Wheels will get changed, kit fitted and sprayed then the graphics added....

Thanks for the update fiatdownunder. Looking forward to the finished 'article'. Expect that you'll increase the wheel size to 17s. A few are going for the 17" Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 - thread on here. They come in different finishes that would suit the Metallic Black.

The bodykit has arrived and looks wicked!
I think it is safe to say that on the red car with the chrome wheels it makes it look a tad vulgar, currently not sprayed but married up to the car it looks brilliant.

Also managed to secure some H&R springs to lower it down 30mm.
Looking at fitting some Stilo Blades too now instead of retro wheels, the 4x98 offset is still the bain of our lives unfortunately :bang:

This thread was posted by Autostella today on the Abarth section and I was amazed at how well the black wheels went with the Crossover Metallic Black. What colour wheels were you thinking off ?
 
This car was won at auction by a Dunedin lady, who has since traded it - and now it has slipped into my hands:) I LOVE it. Thanks to all those involved with its 'creation' Great car, great cause.
