What's the point?
of course it makes no difference in terms of performance. But imitation cf isn't as good looking
Well given that the flimsy piece of plastic used on the dash, it's hardly going to be a "weight saving" change using CF, i'm assuming it's just for aesthetics. In which case, some vinyls you cannot tell if it's CF or wrap, even to touch. And quite easy to lacquer over it to get it shiny too
Or as you say, push the boat out, get the real thing and get sticky with the resin!
I have a spare dash and a 5 meter roll of CF vinyl (the good stuff), I will give a it a go and see what it looks like. Then when I get the real thing we can see the difference.
Here is the vinyl one
I have no idea how to get the old one from my car... I guess i need to get the heater control panel off first.
I got the old dash off...
Here it is fitted...It looks better in real life..I quite like it.
Chacun à son goût. Personally I think it is extremely naff and very chavvy. It is but one step away from a Burberry check.
Carbon fibre is all well and good on a car made out of carbon fibre, but that is where it should end, in my book.
But that's just my opinion.
