Hi all. I got a 500 1.4 sport a year ago with a big sag in the driver's seat and a bit of a one in the passenger seat. I set about giving it some TLC with Autoglyms leather conditioner and putting (!) a LIDL scropion cover seat (a cool one) to flatten it out. It seemed to work on the passenger side but the driver's one developed a crease as opposed to a sag. I found that I could not get seated correctly in the drivers seat so I took off the cover if I wasn't in a gruppy pair of trousers. I read from other posts that Fiat were fixing this problem under warranty. Is this still be done ? Car is May 2008, being serviced when due, now has 39k miles. bought a year ago with 34k miles.

I Have leather and my drivers seat started sagging about 9 months in and the dealer said its classed as wear and tear so wouldn't replace it, but they did stretch it a bit which got rid of the sag and even now its not that bad and i've had it 2 years. Not sure what the irish waranty id though so worth a chat with your dealer.

I've done 21k miles in my 2010 model, absolutely no hint of any give or wear in the leather so far. Recently tried an Abarth with leather which seemed to be much more soft and supple than mine but it made me wonder about long term durability.

Many thanks for the inputs. I have requested a copy of invoices from the garage where the car was previously serviced to prove that the car was serviced when it was due. Auto maintenance are going to replace the shocks ! (they're gone) - must have been the previous owner :) They said they would look into the seat when the car is back in for the warranty job on the shocks. Will keep you posted.
