Hi,

I noticed tonight while sitting in traffic a noise from the passenger side, near the floor. Its whenever i let go of the brake pedal and let it come back fast. It sounds like metal hitting a metal spring or something.

Ive never noticed this before and its quite loud. Does everyone else have this sound?

There is a bar that runs from the brake pedal to the brake master cylinder which is on the passenger side. I suspect it's this.

Ill have a look in the morning. Maybe some silicon spray or grease will sort it out. Do you get the same noise?

did you get that brake noise sorted?

Our Abarth has just started making the same noise, I'm thinking of taking it back to the dealers...

Has anybody found a resolution to this problem? My week old Abarth has starting doing the same and although it's only when you release the brake quickly it is annoying!

I dont notice the noise anymore. I had a play around with silicone spray which didnt really help. There might be a way to fit some kind of rubber bumper for the parts that hit when you release the brakes. As long as it doesnt restrict the moving parts.

Ok, thanks guys. It's a bit annoying but reassuring to know it's across the board. I'm sure as you say I wont notice if after a while...:)
