I picked up my new 500 sport 4 days ago and have the half leather seats. I assumed i didnt have the under seat storage on the passenger side but i was pleasantly surprised 20 mins ago to find i have!!!

Just wondering what you all use the storage area for?

at first I though the storage space would be super useful but the only thing i've ever put in it is deicer, the bigger can doesn't fit in the "glove box" so it's that or the boot : )

I just had an idea but need to test it first. If iPods work with Blue&Me then a small USB powered hard drive might work. If it does i could keep it in the under seat storage. I think theres a gap where the cable could run.

TomTom, iphone charge cable and I can get about 5 cd's in there too. Its pretty handy

I keep my iPod under my seat and run the cable to the USB port it works fine

I find it very handy where I store a small torch/mobile phone and charger/small pair binoculars/ spare cleaning cloth/ small first aid pouch.

I use it for that as well but always forget to get it back out before the wife plonks herself down in the seat, lol.

Still, won't be a problem after Saturday as the new car has leather and interscope, either one of which does away with the facility.

I find it very strange that one can't have the storage with Interscope, because with my Interscope car the subwoofer is located underneath the driver's seat.

I guess Fiat didn't take into account the differences between LHD/RHD variants when coming up with the options lists.

have all 500 got this ? ours has full leather but carnt see how seat lifts .
Gutted if it s not got it looks handy for storing sat nav

Leather seats loose the underseat storage, so no, you don't have it.

That would have been so handy to have. Is there a reason why? i would have thought that the seats would be all the same underneath just the difference in fabric or leather .

Abarth 500 seats also don't have it.

Thanks agian for all the replys. For now i'm just gonna keep the locking wheel nuts in there, and maybe a bottle of water. All wrapped in a towel so theres no rattling.

I lined mine with a bit of carpet. No rattling!

Always thought it would be good for a handbag or something you want to hide when parked in a car park etc....
