Off Topic Generating interest for a South Devon meet

Seriously does it really matter if someone bumped the thread to get more interest? Surely it's better than starting a completely new thread about exactly the same topic, only for it to then need merging with the old thread.
I only described what a 'bump' meant - don't shoot me down in flames ;)

This forum seems to allow it - yet as I stated, on another forum I moderate (which has 220,000 members...), it is outlawed.

The odd bump is fine, it is when it is blatant .... if you need to bump a thread, it usually means it has died (but not always, which is why FF kind of allows it :) )

I think the occasional bump is OK. As long as there is actually interest in the thread that is.

If I'm wanting to arrange a Fiat 500 meet in North Wales and no one is interested and I keep on bumping it then that's just stupid.
