Hey all,

I searched lots of thread, but i can't find "mp3 cd problem" at all. I created a CD including lots of mp3 song, then when i want to play in the car, i cannot succeed. It appears " CD ERROR "..

- I know how can CD burn (thats the important one :) )
- There is a label under cd player that is "mp3"
- I tried with DVD but problem is not solved.

What i have to do? Which kind of CD could help me?

Many Thanks..!

Hi
Hopefully these things may help:-
  • You mention the CD 'includes lots of MP3 songs'. It is important that the CD only has MP3 files on it and no other file types.
  • When burning a CD, do it at a low speed - definately not the highest speed of the drive (higher speeds massively decrease reliability when burning)
  • Try burning one CD with just a small number (say less than 5) tracks on it, and see if that works. If so then try with more tracks.
  • Make sure your albums are in separate folders on the CD you want to burn
  • Don't use the built-in Windows CD burning if you have something else - most PC's are supplied with some proper burning software - always use that if you can as it will be more reliable.
  • CDs have to be in ISO9660 format and burning software will give you the option to burn with this format (or as standard)
  • Make sure the CD has finalised its burning and/or checking before removing it from your PC
  • Try a different brand of CD. I've used some really expensive ones but found Tesco branded ones are just as good if you keep the burning speed down
  • CD's are generally cheap throw-away items but you could try using a rewriteable one instead
  • Your sound system manual has a section in it about MP3 CDs and how they must be formatted
Hope these help!

I'm with unkcem on this one. I've burned cd's at the slowest speed available using Roxio v9 with only mp3 tracks, eliminating spaces when naming tracks, all to no avail. I'm resigned to just using the memory stick now, which works fine.

The only cd's that work in our cinquecento are original albums.
